Work Hard and Play Hard

It is easy to get caught up in the whole chaotic world of adult life. The best thing that we can do, for ourselves, is to know how to balance work and play.

There is a time to work, and there is a time to play. You get a job for the money and you pay your dues, but when you leave work each day, more often than not, we go home and do what? Nothing. We sit and whine about the stress of the day.

We should work to live; not live to work. You have earned that money, so do something with it. You may work hard, but you should play harder. Go out and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Don’t stress so much over how bad things seem when you are on the job. That is the only way we can be happy with ourselves.

It is a known fact that those who spend their entire lives working, and doing nothing else, are miserable. We don’t have to necessarily to caught up in wanting to go out and party all of the time, like we perhaps did when we were younger, but we don’t have to go from a rambunctious 21 year old to a 90 year old overnight either.

The more you stress over things that you either cannot control, or don’t need to worry about until you are back ‘on the clock’ the more time you take off of your life. Let us also not forget the fact that the more you do outside of work, the more you are able to relax when you are on the job.

Not to mention the fact that no good story starts or ends with punching the time clock, or how exciting it was when you got to work on that big project. No, a good life and a good story may come from all of the stuff that you are able to do because of the financial resources that you have obtained because of that job, but it is not, and should not, be your entire life. Live like it means something, and work so that you can live your life. Read more at our homepage of this site.
